Travel RN – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum (LDRP)

Location: Near Concord, NC
Shift: 12-Hour Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 36 hours/week

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse to join a dedicated team at a leading medical facility near Concord, NC. This is a great opportunity for nurses who want to grow their skills in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

• Level III Trauma Center
• Stroke, Bariatric, and Chest Pain Centers of Excellence

Unit Details

• Unit: 13 labor beds, 5 triage rooms
• Average Census: 9–10 patients per day
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of LDRP
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

Patient Population

• High-risk antepartum
• Labor
• Immediate postpartum

Ratios

• Laboring RN ratio: 1:1–2

• NRP
• EFM

Department Support

• Charge nurse coverage 24/7
• Phlebotomy and IV/VAT team in-house

• Secretary support during weekdays

• Alaris IV pumps
• Omnicell medication dispensing
• GE monitors
• Monica Novii & Neptune unit-specific equipment

Floating

• Must be willing to float within Region 1 (Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, Central Division, CMC Main, Mercy, and LCH Peds as needed)
• Paid for time spent traveling between facilities mid-shift

Scheduling & Orientation

• Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
• Holiday requirement: 75% of holidays
• RTO: Up to 6 days off (holidays excluded)
• Orientation: NEO + 2 days departmental
• Scrubs: Hospital-provided green OR scrubs
• Parking: Free
