Join Advocate Aurora Health as a Level I CT Technologist, where you will operate advanced imaging equipment to provide critical diagnostic scans, ensuring patient safety and image accuracy. This role offers a supportive environment for professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
Operates CT equipment to perform diagnostic procedures
Obtains medical history from patients and ensures exam accuracy
Positions patients and selects proper scanning factors
Prepares and administers contrast media under the direction of the Radiologist
Post-processes images and maintains accurate records
Identifies equipment performance issues and performs quality assurance tests
Performs patient positioning and transporting duties
Required Qualifications
Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin
Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Computed Tomography (CT) registration issued by the ARRT (to be obtained within 18 months)
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification (to be obtained within 6 months)
Completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and basic radiation safety
Competent in IV and venipuncture (if required by facility)
Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills
Ability to work independently
Intermediate computer skills
