Key Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedic, neuro, and fall risk patients.
  • Work across multiple care settings: inpatient, outpatient, and home health.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document patient progress using Cerner Community Works and Kinnser EMR systems.
  • Collaborate with treatment teams and utilize Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) when available.
  • Cover at least two care areas such as inpatient and home care, outpatient and ortho, or lymphedema.
  • Follow departmental policies including dress code and orientation procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Illinois Occupational Therapist license or confirmation of application in process.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Ability to produce a negative drug screen.
  • Demonstrated diverse clinical background in occupational therapy.
  • Experience with various patient diagnoses, including orthopedic, neuro, and fall risk cases.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems: Cerner Community Works and Kinnser.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
  • Lymphedema certification or specialized upper extremity OT expertise considered a plus.
  • Ability to work in inpatient, outpatient, and home care settings.
