Job Description

Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator to improve health outcomes by connecting patients with the care they need. This phone-based role involves managing incoming calls, verifying insurance, and supporting patients through their healthcare journey, all while being part of a diverse and inclusive culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and authorize patient insurance coverage and eligibility
  • Update patient information and confirm co-payments
  • Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations
  • Address patient inquiries and resolve billing concerns
  • Collaborate with care teams to deliver excellent customer service

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service and/or call center experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience working in a healthcare setting or medical office
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
  • Basic level of proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
