**Job Title: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)**
**Shift: Day and Night Rotating Shifts**
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience and demonstrate a solid understanding of telemetry nursing responsibilities. This position is vital for providing high-quality care to patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, ensuring their needs are met in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and ECG rhythm, recognizing any changes that may require intervention.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records and communicate with healthcare teams regarding patient status.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and self-management strategies.
- Rotate shifts between days and nights as needed, typically working 3x12-hour shifts.
**Qualifications:**
- Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry prior to travel assignments.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work every other holiday as scheduled.
**Additional Information:**
- Orientation will include an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate training, with acceptable scores required to pass.
- Background checks may be conducted, and candidates with any open cases will not be accepted.
