Job Description
As a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide essential treatments to patients, evaluate their needs, and participate in interdisciplinary education. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on patient recovery and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient’s symptoms and medical status
Treats patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families in home exercise programs and functional activities
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows-based programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
Access to reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites
