Job Description
Join Carrier as a Commercial HVAC Journeyman, where your expertise will ensure customer comfort through installations, repairs, and maintenance. This role offers opportunities for independent work and collaboration, making a significant impact in the HVAC industry.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical malfunctions
Performing regularly scheduled maintenance on heating and cooling units
Installing, replacing, or repairing HVAC equipment
Assembling and installing metal ductwork
Assisting in planning and designing new installations
Providing estimates of materials required
Repairing and replacing damaged parts and equipment
Reading blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams
Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers
Safely operating company vehicles, machinery, and equipment
Recognizing risks and safety hazards and implementing controls
Participating in all required safety training
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry
Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs
Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended periods
High School Diploma/GED
Valid and current Driver's License
Must be a current union member or willing to join a union
Preferred Qualifications
Basic understanding of building automation controls
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience using Salesforce and ServiceMax
