Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain plans for effective management of nursing services
  • Serve as an inspirational role model for staff
  • Oversee the development and implementation of nursing standards
  • Collaborate with administration and clinical representatives
  • Develop programs for recruitment, retention, and education of nursing staff
  • Facilitate collaboration between nursing staff and other clinical practitioners
  • Participate in hospital-wide quality monitoring and improvement actions

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in BSN
  • 5 years of increasing operational responsibility in nursing
  • At least 3 years as a Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager, or Director of Nursing
  • Alaska Registered Nurse License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a Nursing-Related Field
  • Proven senior nursing administration experience
  • Previous clinical nursing experience working with a Medical Director and physicians
