Registered Nurse - Clinic - 
The Outpatient Clinical Nurse is responsible for objectively assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in coordination with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient centered care. 
The Registered Nurse will assist in the ongoing management of the patient based on identified psycho-social needs, continuity of care, disease prevention, chronic disease management, and provides patient education to promote Health Literacy.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities -
Demonstrate the WCHS core mission, vision and values; respecting tribal beliefs, culture, and traditions Formulate clinical decisions that demonstrate critical thinking to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of the patient through collaborative practice with the healthcare team. Completes comprehensive initial assessment and completes documentation accurately and completely in the patient record. 
Demonstrates expertise in systems assessment, recognition of significant changes in patient condition, establishment of priorities, and nursing interventions. 
Provides interventions as ordered by the Medical Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant Evaluates patient response to intervention and promptly notifies Medical Provider of patient condition whenever necessary. 
Promotes the team concept through interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and medical staff and/or other healthcare providers to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care. 
Provides patient disease preventable vaccines before discharge. 
Demonstrates respect for patients rights, privacy, and serve as a patient advocate. 
Monitor, evaluate, and document patient care processes to ensure adherence to established clinical protocols and standards 
Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives and performance improvement projects 
Identify areas for improvement and assist in developing action plans to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes 
Collect and report quality indicators and performance data as required by clinic leadership or regulatory bodies 
Follow evidence-based practices to ensure patient safety and reduce the risk of errors or adverse events 
Report and document incidents, near misses, or quality concerns in a timely and accurate manner 
Promote infection prevention and control practices throughout the clinic 
Support audit and accreditation processes by providing accurate documentation and participating in readiness assessments 
Comply with all departmental and organizational policies and procedures in addition to regulatory requirements and participate in corporate/department safety and quality activities Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills: 
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska or multi state licensure in a nurse licensure compact state. 
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. 
Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing required.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred. 
Skilled in practical use of electronic systems for patient care and documentation. 
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. 
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of service and response.

Physical Requirements: 
Normal to light office work which includes the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. 
Regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time and use hands to operate computer keyboard, phone, and various office equipment. 
Cognitive requirements: Reading, writing, calculating Above average social interaction skills Reasoning/Analysis Works with minimal to no supervision Language Requirements: Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
