Requirements
- Current RN license and good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
- Current AHA BLS certification. Crisis prevention training certificate may be required prior to first shift.
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an inpatient Behavioral Health RN within the last year.
- APRNs who apply must have recent bedside experience under RN scope of practice.
- Strong ability to provide age appropriate patient care which addresses biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and patient/family educational needs.
- Must show competency managing a behavioral health assignment with patients in crisis that may also have potential underlying comorbidities.
- Able to ensure patient’s medications are correctly administered.
