Experience & Licensure

• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Travel Experience: Yes, required
• CA License: Must be in hand
• Valid Certifications:
  • LCSW or MSW (LCSW preferred)
  • LA Fire Card within 30 days (non-reimbursable)

Schedule & Coverage

• Weekends: Must work 2 weekends per 4-week period
• Call & Float: Not specified, but float within state is expected
• Holiday Commitment: Must work 3 of the 5 major holidays
  (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day)

• Daily Census: Up to 22–25
• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Adults, Geriatrics
• ED-Specific Role: Must understand 51/50 holds
• Interdisciplinary Support: Noted but not fully detailed
• Core Focus Areas:
  • Assessment, discharge planning, crisis intervention, care coordination
  • Knowledge in HMO/IPA, foster care/adoption, drug/alcohol treatment
  • Legal topics: guardianship, POA, advance directives, protective services
  • Collaborate on treatment plans & participate in family meetings

Skills Required

• ED social work, crisis evaluation
• 51/50 mental health holds
• Biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning
• Knowledge of Medicare waivers, InterQual, DME, discharge logistics
• Services: NICU, L&D/Mother-Baby, substance abuse, child/adult protection
• Documentation per plan of care & discharge standards

Compliance Requirements

• References:
  • 2 supervisory references (1 year total, 6 months for CNAs)
  • Charge/Lead references accepted
• RTO Limits:
  • Max 7 days ; more delays offer
  • All RTO must be included at submission
• Submittal Limit:
  • Only 1 Providence facility submission allowed at a time
• Radius Rule:
  • <50 miles = local pay
• Return Staff Policy: 3-month gap between perm and travel
• Background Hits: Must disclose upfront ; no open cases accepted

  • Avg. 16 hours (PM approval required if over 20)
  • Self-reported and recorded in Workramp
• Communication Devices:
