Key Responsibilities
Provide education for clients with diabetes of all ages
Conduct health and education assessments
Develop, implement, and evaluate education plans
Collaborate with a team in classroom or individual outpatient settings
Engage in professional development and community outreach
Required Qualifications
Oregon Dietitian License upon hire
National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration upon hire
Three (3) years experience in treatment and education of diabetes within the last 2 years
Experience with current adult learning theory in relation to diabetes education
Experience with the clinical management of diabetes
Preferred Qualifications
Formal coursework or credentials in principles of adult learning theory and patient-centered learning
Certification in Diabetes Education, or willingness to attain CDCES certification upon hire
Experience with diverse ethnic groups
