Job Description
Join Lincoln Electric as a Designer/Drafter where you'll support the Plant Engineering team by creating 3D models and drafts. This role offers opportunities to work independently on design projects while benefiting from a supportive environment and competitive compensation.
Key Responsibilities
Support Plant Engineers and other departments with 3D models and manufacturing drafts
Reverse engineer components from physical parts or legacy drawings
Create, modify, curate, and store electronic files using document management systems
Assist in the development and maintenance of templates and schematics
Maintain mechanical CAD procedures and standards
Support internal and external fabrication through creation of supporting files
Document existing production and facility support equipment
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a High School Education or GED
Minimum of 3 years professional experience in design and drafting
Technically proficient in Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia, or NX
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Experience with data management systems (PDM/PLM) using Autodesk Vault or Siemens TeamCenter
Experience with measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft software applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Exposed to machine shop or metal manufacturing processes
Highly motivated to quickly learn 3D CAD drafting and detail print making skills
Organized and detail oriented
Self-motivated with high ownership
Capable of working independently and as part of a team
Problem-solving mindset with innovative solution proposals
