Job Description
Join Lincoln Electric as a Designer Drafter, where you'll support our Plant Engineering team by creating 3D models and drafting designs that enhance operational efficiency. This role offers a chance to work on innovative projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a leading engineering firm.
Key Responsibilities
Support Plant Engineers with 3D models and manufacturing drafts
Reverse engineer components from physical parts or legacy drawings
Create, modify, and store electronic files
Assist in development of templates and schematics
Maintain mechanical CAD procedures and standards
Support fabrication through .DXF, .PDF, or .STP file creation
Document existing production and facility support equipment
Required Qualifications
High School Education or GED
3 years professional experience in design and drafting
Proficient in Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia, or NX
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Experience with data management systems (PDM/PLM)
Experience with measurement tools (micrometers, calipers)
Basic computer literacy
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Exposed to machine shop or metal manufacturing processes
Highly motivated to learn 3D CAD drafting
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Organized and detail-oriented
Self-motivated with a high level of ownership
Capable of working independently and as part of a team
