• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: May float to ED observation unit
• Scrubs: Royal Blue
• Orientation: Bi-weekly sessions
• Flu Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1780 - $1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience
• Active North Carolina or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI
• Experience with Epic charting system
• Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Proficient in emergency procedures and patient diagnoses (adult, pediatric, trauma, psych, critical care)
• One supervisory reference within the last year
• Flu vaccine compliance (no exemptions or declinations accepted)

ER RN Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care in a busy emergency department
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform and assist with emergency procedures: arterial line management, chest tube insertion, central line care, procedural sedation
• Administer emergency medications and manage acute medical and trauma cases (STEMI, stroke, trauma, overdose, psychiatric emergencies)
• Interpret ABGs, dysrhythmias, and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy)
• Float to ED observation unit as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols
