American Traveler is hiring a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for a school-based assignment requiring a bachelor's degree in speech pathology and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a school setting providing speech language pathology services to students
  • Assignment runs from early September through mid-June
  • Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
  • Total of 35 billable hours per week
  • Travel between schools and job-related locations required during the day
  • School-based experience is preferred but not required
  • Candidates must be committed to collaborating and working in a team environment
  • Engagement with culturally, racially, and linguistically diverse populations is a key aspect of the role
  • Evidence of ongoing professional learning is valued

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in speech pathology from an accredited college or university required
  • Valid Washington State driver's license required
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse families, communities, and school staff
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to function within a school system and collaborate in a professional learning community
  • Evidence of commitment to professional growth and self-reflection
  • Resume required for consideration
  • Active state license required if applicable
  • Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification required if position or state mandates—cannot start without it
