Job Description
Join Kaiser as a CT Technologist where you'll operate CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Work in a collaborative environment that values team concepts and supports your professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic procedures as per department policies
Communicate necessary information to healthcare team
Provide service-oriented communication with patients
Apply ALARA principles for minimizing radiation exposure
File work/reception/computer including PACs functions
Administer contrast media as directed
Protocol exams according to established directives
Assist with patient transport as needed
Quality Assurance functions and troubleshoot equipment
Maintain cleanliness of the assigned room
Required Qualifications
Minimum one (1) year experience as a CT technologist within the past 2 years or minimum six (6) months experience in an acute hospital setting within the last year
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) or Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington)
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Computed Tomography
Radiologic Technologist Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Prior CT work experience using helical and/or multi-detector technology
Attendance at CT and cross-sectional anatomy courses
Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Science or related field
