Job Description
Join Sanford Health as a Medical Assistant in our OBGYN Clinic, where you'll provide compassionate care to patients of all ages. Key Responsibilities
Collects subjective and objective health status data from the patient or caregiver
Follows through on the patient’s plan of care under the direction of the provider
Communicates the provider’s written instructions for care to the patient or caregiver
Participates in care for patients across the lifespan in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow-up
Obtains vital signs, prepares patients for examinations, observes and reports patient’s signs or symptoms, and performs point of care testing
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program
Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in a healthcare setting
