Job Description
Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian, where you’ll support a dedicated team in providing high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. Lead, mentor, and make a significant impact in animal welfare while ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the CVC according to CM’s standards
Train veterinarians in HQHVSN techniques and medical protocols
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and coaching
Perform high quality, high volume spay/neuter surgical procedures
Provide compassionate, quality preventive care to patients
Schedule CM staff veterinarians for optimal coverage
Participate in monthly CM Veterinary Medicine Rounds
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high quality, high volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Demonstrate true leadership abilities in challenging situations
Ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced clinic environment
Excellent work attendance record
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
