Key Responsibilities
Triages urgent calls from patients
Administer injections and prescribed medications
Assist providers with office-based procedures
Collect samples for lab testing
Obtain patient medical history and document in EMR
Ensure documentation is available for provider review
Document patient information in Electronic Health Record
Process medication refills
Provide emotional and psychological support to patients
Communicate with patients on health-related matters
Complete work tasks in EMR
Other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program
Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Connecticut
Knowledge and skills necessary to assess health needs of patients
Willingness to obtain BLS certification within six months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience in an office-based physician practice
One year of experience working with electronic health records
Active BLS certification
