Job Description

As a Fleet Shop Manager at XPO, you will lead a maintenance team, ensuring the highest levels of safety and productivity in fleet operations. This role involves overseeing maintenance processes, managing team dynamics, and driving efficiency while offering a competitive compensation package and excellent benefits from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle maintenance team employees and contingent workers including hiring, mentoring, scheduling, training, and recommendations for promotion or discipline
  • Support teammates in overseeing equipment maintenance and out-of-service equipment
  • Facilitate the Job Selection/Shift Bid (JSP) process for shop employees
  • Oversee routine maintenance functions to ensure equipment proficiency
  • Ensure shop cycle counts and inventory levels are managed correctly
  • Review and research trends in parts utilization and shop efficiency
  • Monitor shop for safety, service, quality, efficiency, and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and DOT policies

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance
  • A valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree
  • Current ASE certifications
  • Current CDL
  • Less-than-Truckload (LTL) experience
  • Available to work a variety of shifts
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to lead and motivate others
  • Excellent time management skills
