Assignment DetailsShift Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour nights)
Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
Weekends & Holidays: Rotating weekends and holidays; required to work one major winter holiday (Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve)
On-Call: Rotating schedule
Care Setting: Acute inpatient medical-surgical unit
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans
Deliver and evaluate direct nursing care for medical-surgical patients
Administer medications and monitor treatment responses
Utilize technology safely and in compliance with infection prevention standards
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, care plans, and discharge instructions
Document all care accurately within facility standards
Actively participate in performance improvement initiatives and unit meetings
Demonstrate professional accountability, ethical practice, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
License: Active RN license in the state of Michigan (or compact equivalent) – required
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg experience – required
Certifications:
BLS (AHA) – required
