Join West Fraser as an Electrician and be part of a dynamic Maintenance team. This role involves maintaining electrical systems and equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in a challenging work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine electrical/electronic preventative maintenance on mill equipment
Repair, modify, and maintain various electrical and electronic equipment
Wiring circuits, replacing components, and repairing electronic devices
Perform test readings using multi-meter and Megger
Attend classes to remain current in technical changes or equipment designs
Work rotating shifts and adhere to safety rules and regulations
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
Background in Electrical fundamentals
Knowledge in 3 phase and single-phase power distribution systems
Motor controls and wiring troubleshooting experience
Experience with 480-volt power and logic circuits
Strong computer, math, analytical, and planning skills
Ability to understand and follow electrical schematics without supervision
Ability to troubleshoot complex machine control systems
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
VFD drives experience
PLC experience
Ability to interpret PLC logic
