Job Description

As a Service Center Manager at XPO, you'll lead a team to ensure timely freight delivery while optimizing operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all employees at the service center
  • Track and audit employees’ hours
  • Handle payroll issues and personnel changes
  • Administer corrective action and monitor staff development
  • Plan daily manpower needs for timely freight delivery
  • Communicate service center productivity and policies
  • Research and implement cost-cutting and efficiency improvements
  • Maintain safe working conditions of the facility and equipment
  • Comply with laws/regulations and company policies
  • Oversee documentation for hazardous material shipments

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Thorough knowledge of LTL industry
  • Experience with transportation rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards
  • Understanding of hazardous materials regulations
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Availability for various shifts and travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
  • Experience with process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma)
  • Forklift experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Solid analytical skills
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
