Key Responsibilities
Supervise all employees at the service center
Track and audit employees’ hours
Handle payroll issues and personnel changes
Administer corrective action and monitor staff development
Plan daily manpower needs for timely freight delivery
Communicate service center productivity and policies
Research and implement cost-cutting and efficiency improvements
Maintain safe working conditions of the facility and equipment
Comply with laws/regulations and company policies
Oversee documentation for hazardous material shipments
Required Qualifications
5 years of supervisory experience
Thorough knowledge of LTL industry
Experience with transportation rules and regulations
Knowledge of OSHA standards
Understanding of hazardous materials regulations
Experience with Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license
Availability for various shifts and travel
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
4 years of related work experience or equivalent military experience
Experience with process improvement (Lean/Six Sigma)
Forklift experience
Excellent organizational skills
Solid analytical skills
