Job Description
Chuy's is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead a high-volume scratch kitchen. The role involves managing staffing, food inventory, and ensuring food quality and safety, all within an engaging and fun work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage food cost, food waste, BOH staffing and wages
Supervise Assistant Kitchen Manager and kitchen staff
Maintain food quality and safety standards
Oversee inventory and orders
Ensure kitchen equipment is working properly
Participate in hiring and training of new staff
Create schedules for kitchen staff
Work within budget to maintain costs and minimize waste
Required Qualifications
3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
Strong culinary knowledge
Ability to handle multiple tasks
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail
Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales and labor
Preferred Qualifications
Bi-lingual (Spanish)
Familiarity with a variety of kitchen equipment
Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
