Job Description

Chuy's is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead a high-volume scratch kitchen. The role involves managing staffing, food inventory, and ensuring food quality and safety, all within an engaging and fun work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage food cost, food waste, BOH staffing and wages
  • Supervise Assistant Kitchen Manager and kitchen staff
  • Maintain food quality and safety standards
  • Oversee inventory and orders
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is working properly
  • Participate in hiring and training of new staff
  • Create schedules for kitchen staff
  • Work within budget to maintain costs and minimize waste

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
  • Strong culinary knowledge
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales and labor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Familiarity with a variety of kitchen equipment
  • Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
