Part Time PA Faculty Position in Columbia Missouri

The UMKC Physician Assistant (PA) Program is seeking a dynamic PA to join our team in a part time faculty position as we expand to the MU campus in Columbia, MO. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an established, innovative, and collaborative program as we increase our capacity to train PAs to serve the health care needs of Missourians. In this part time position the faculty member will work alongside colleagues committed to excellence in healthcare education and will play a key role in launching the MU campus.

Responsibilities: The individual will support expansion and implementation of the UMKC PA curriculum at the distant campus. Typical responsibilities include teaching and course facilitation, student assessment in the didactic and clinical phases of the program, facilitating relationships with educators and clinical training partners, participation in curriculum development and assessment, advising and mentoring PA students, and participating in faculty and program committee meetings.

Position: The program is seeking one or more PAs able to dedicate up to 0.5 FTE to the position. Depending on the applicant pool, this may be one person at 0.5 FTE or multiple individuals at 0.2 to 0.3 FTE. This is a non-benefit eligible academic position.

Qualifications: Requirements include: graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA program, current NCCPA certification and eligibility for Missouri licensure, hold (or actively pursuing) a Master s degree or higher in a healthcare or health professions education area. Prior teaching or precepting experience is desirable.
