As the Director of Operations, you'll lead the oversight of our real estate portfolio, ensuring efficient and safe property operations in New York City. This role combines team leadership, vendor management, and strategic planning to enhance the wellbeing of our clients and workforce.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations for agency properties across five NYC boroughs
Manage area managers and handymen teams for maintenance tasks
Ensure timely resolution of service tickets and vendor coordination
Develop performance metrics for operational effectiveness
Maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years working as a tradesperson, preferably in mechanical, plumbing, or electrical fields
At least 5 years of managerial experience overseeing teams or operations
Verifiable experience and knowledge with technical building systems
Proven understanding of maintenance operations and vendor management
Fluent communication in English
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a hybrid role with field and office responsibilities
Familiarity with life safety system requirements and contract management
Ability to develop and analyze performance metrics
Prior experience managing large real estate portfolios
