Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides treatments to patients by evaluating their function and applying appropriate treatments.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary approaches for community education and clinical education of students.
  • Conducts evaluations and modifies treatments based on patients' symptoms and medical statuses.
  • Documents in accordance to insurance guidelines and adheres to departmental policies.
  • Educates patients and families on home exercise programs to maximize functional activity.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
  • Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic personal computer skills in the use of Windows based programs such as Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites.
