As a Clinical Nurse IV in the PACU, you will provide compassionate care by implementing physician orders, administering medications, and collaborating with your nursing team to ensure the best patient outcomes. Your expertise will contribute to a supportive environment for patients and families during their recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Implement physician orders and administer medications
Start IVs and perform treatments, procedures, and special tests
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care
Provide primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
Administer medications as ordered
Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care
Direct and guide ancillary personnel
Required Qualifications
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program
Current NYS Registered Nurse license
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills
