Job Description
Join Spectrum Center Schools as an Area Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and make a meaningful impact in the lives of students through innovative speech therapy services. Collaborate with educational teams to enhance communication skills and foster personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluating students to identify speech-language therapy needs
Developing and implementing individualized speech therapy plans
Setting collaborative, student-centered goals
Monitoring student progress through data-driven assessments
Providing direct speech and language therapy using evidence-based strategies
Documenting therapy sessions and clinical observations
Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date case records
Fostering open communication with families
Collaborating with teachers and related service providers
Participating in multidisciplinary meetings and regional conferences
Providing clinical support and expertise to onsite program teams
Mentoring educators and staff
Conducting and/or overseeing client intakes and assessments
Overseeing the quality of speech therapy services
Maintaining clinical excellence through supervision and staff development
Building trust and rapport with clients and families
Engaging in continuous professional development
Traveling regularly between assigned locations
Required Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in speech pathology or a closely related field
Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a speech language pathology (SLP) credential
Hold currently or have the ability to obtain a valid CA state driver’s license
Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in providing speech language therapy support
Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance
Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students
Highly skilled in building relationships with students, parents, teachers and community partners
Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability
Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology
