Join Optum as an Associate Patient Care Coordinator and play a vital role in enhancing patient care through efficient clinic operations. You will manage patient registrations, insurance verifications, and appointment scheduling while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide exceptional service to all customers
Greet patients and check them in and out
Collect co-pays and adhere to cash handling policies
Schedule appointments and verify visit types
Manage waiting room cleanliness and communication
Work with back office staff for smooth patient flow
Resolve service issues and complaints
Assist co-workers as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
CPR certified or able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
1+ years of customer service experience
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
1+ years of experience with insurance programs and basic managed care principles
Experience working with an electronic health record
Medical office setting experience
Knowledge/understanding of CPT/ICD-10 coding
Knowledge of medical terminology
Independent means of transportation during work hours
Bilingual in Spanish/English
