Key Responsibilities
Provides basic nursing care by assisting in the assessment of the resident
Communicates significant changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team
Accurately documents all assessments and interventions
Participates in the care planning process for residents
Implements necessary nursing interventions relevant to the plan of care
Monitors the care of residents closely
Identifies problem areas and uses the QAPI process for resolution
Answers call lights and assists with residents' ADLs as needed
Required Qualifications
Education from an accredited school of nursing that results in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse
Current LPN license in the state you will be working
CPR and AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
IV certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
Ability to assess the basic nursing care needs of the geriatric resident
Excellent communication skills
Time management and organizational skills
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques
Ability to transfer and move patients who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs
Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs
Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands
Visual acuity with the ability to distinguish color
Ability to physically perform necessary documentation electronically and in writing
Preferred Qualifications
