Job Description

As a General Manager at SONIC Drive-In, you'll lead a team to deliver exceptional food service while ensuring a clean and efficient operation. This role involves training staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high customer service standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, train, and monitor team members
  • Direct and assign restaurant employees to meet operational standards
  • Monitor employee compliance with company policies
  • Perform restaurant opening and closing duties
  • Prepare employee work schedules and adjust staffing levels
  • Maintain restaurant inventory and place orders
  • Complete and maintain employment and payroll records
  • Reinforce customer service mentality among employees
  • Resolve guest complaints and requests
  • Interview and hire restaurant crew and management
  • Prepare operational reports and develop action plans

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of restaurant management experience
  • Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and selection practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic accounting and computer skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced studies in business or restaurant management
  • Experience in quick-service restaurants (QSR)
