Job Description

Join Chuy's Tex Mex as a Kitchen Manager to lead a high-volume scratch kitchen. You'll oversee kitchen operations, staffing, and food quality while enjoying competitive pay and excellent benefits in a fun and diverse work culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage food cost, food waste, BOH staffing and wages, HACCP, production, pars, orders, and cleanliness
  • Supervise and partner with the Assistant Kitchen Manager
  • Ensure proper staffing in all kitchen positions
  • Maintain Chuy’s procedures and recipes for food quality and safety
  • Oversee inventory and orders
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is functioning properly
  • Participate in hiring and training new staff
  • Maintain cleaning standards and schedules

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of kitchen management experience in a high-volume full-service restaurant
  • Strong culinary knowledge
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Financial understanding of sales, costs of sales and labor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish)
  • Familiarity with a variety of kitchen equipment and its maintenance
  • Willingness to run occasional front of house shifts
