Job Description
Join our team as a Patient Accounts Representative, where you will utilize your expertise in healthcare billing to ensure accurate financial transactions. You will engage with patients, manage account discrepancies, and support collections efforts, all while adhering to compliance regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate solid working knowledge of insurance processes.
Accurately record payments from patients and insurance companies.
Conduct regular reviews of patient accounts to identify discrepancies.
Interact with patients to address billing inquiries and provide explanations of charges.
Initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts.
Maintain detailed records of all transactions related to patient accounts.
Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations.
Generate regular reports on accounts receivable status.
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in a similar role within healthcare finance or billing.
Strong understanding of insurance processes and healthcare billing regulations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in relevant software applications for billing and financial record-keeping.
