Join Epic Cardiovascular as an ECMO Specialist, where you'll operate and maintain the extracorporeal circuit in a multidisciplinary team setting. This role requires hands-on expertise to deliver critical care to patients, making a significant impact on their recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain the extracorporeal circuit for long-term pulmonary and/or cardiac support
Participate in patient rounds and suggest clinical management options
Review laboratory and blood gas results and treat per physician protocols
Troubleshoot the ECLS circuit and make necessary adjustments
Document appropriately on all ECMO records
Participate in ongoing education related to ECLS services
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse or Registered Respiratory Therapist licensed in the state of employment
Minimum of two (2) years intensive care or related experience
Satisfactory completion of an ECLS Training Course
Satisfactory completion of the Perfusion.com clinical assessment examination
A minimum of 60 hours of Clinical Pump time
Full understanding of circuit components utilized for the service of a particular ECLS center
