Job Description
Join Zen Educate as a Teacher Aide in Special Education, where you'll support students in SPED classrooms. This role focuses on assisting with instructional preparation, student supervision, and behavioral support, making a meaningful impact on student engagement and learning.
Key Responsibilities
Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) or Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
Provide one-on-one or small group support using positive reinforcement
Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive learning environment
Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff
Assist with personal care or hygiene needs
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma
Experience supporting individuals with Special Educational Needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and patient in challenging situations
English proficiency
U.S. work authorization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Special Education, particularly with moderate to severe behaviors
ABA Therapy experience
Behavior Technician experience
Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies
CPR and First Aid certification
CPI or Pro Act Training
