Key Responsibilities
Perform treatments per protocols
Function in scrubbing, 2nd circulating, and Heart Holder roles
Pick supplies for surgeries and set up instruments
Perform instrument and sponge count accurately
Obtain specimens and verify location with circulating nurse
Facilitate room turnover time
Participate in department on-call schedule
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or 3 years recent experience as a surgical technician
Current CPR provider card
Minimum of eighteen months of CVOR recent experience or completed clinical orientation
Knowledge of CVOR instrumentation for cardiac surgical procedures
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CABG and cardiac procedures
