Job Description
Join UniFirst as a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in ensuring efficient operation of facility equipment. Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective actions
Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment
Perform basic welding activities for repairs
Troubleshoot and repair Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
Perform and assign preventive maintenance on facility and production assets
Follow blueprints and schematics using documented schedules
Manage equipment maintenance including after-hours repairs
Assume responsibility for all shifts in the maintenance department
Oversee maintenance-related regulatory and environmental compliance
Monitor training status of technicians and provide training time
Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System
Partner with the Production Manager to manage maintenance budget
Train and develop maintenance partners
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Must be at least 21 years of age
Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
Minimum of 3 years of work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment
Maintenance administration experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and vendor management
Ability to read blueprints and schematics
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with hand and power tools
Lockout / Tagout experience
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Two-year technical degree in an appropriate background
Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising maintenance personnel
