Job Description

As a Navy Chaplain, you will support and uplift Sailors and Marines, conducting worship services, providing counsel, and overseeing religious programs. You'll play a crucial role in their spiritual well-being during both joyful and challenging times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct worship services in various settings
  • Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, and baptisms
  • Counsel individuals seeking guidance
  • Oversee religious education programs
  • Provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel and their families
  • Train lay leaders for religious education programs
  • Promote attendance at religious services and events
  • Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen or equivalent
  • Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
  • Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
  • Ability to obtain Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a registered religious faith organization
