The Clinical Information Systems Educator is responsible for training clinical staff and providers on the effective use of electronic health records and health information technology to ensure high-quality patient care. This role develops, maintains, and evaluates EHR orientation programs and training curricula, collaborating closely with clinical leadership and staff. This position is key to ensuring clinical users' readiness and confidence when using the electronic health record (EHR) and other HIT systems. The CIS-E will be responsible for maintaining in-depth knowledge of the EHR and other HIT technologies and training staff members, new-hire orientees, and providers on the use of these technologies and related policies and procedures. This position requires the ability to explain technology to diverse end-users and ensure they are able to use the applications and functionality effectively to accomplish their work.
