Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty trucks. You will be responsible for inspection, diagnosis, and repair of essential vehicle systems, all while working in a supportive, family-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign necessary repairs
Assist with emergency breakdowns when required
Required Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
A valid driver’s license is required; CDL preferred
Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment OR training from a recognized trade school
Must be able to speak and read English well enough to converse with colleagues
Must meet the physical and safety requirements of the position
Must provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience working as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems and diagnostic software
Working knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
