Job Description

Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic and play a vital role in maintaining our fleet of heavy-duty trucks. You will be responsible for inspection, diagnosis, and repair of essential vehicle systems, all while working in a supportive, family-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, diagnosis, preventative maintenance, and repair of vehicles and equipment
  • Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign necessary repairs
  • Assist with emergency breakdowns when required

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
  • A valid driver’s license is required; CDL preferred
  • Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment OR training from a recognized trade school
  • Must be able to speak and read English well enough to converse with colleagues
  • Must meet the physical and safety requirements of the position
  • Must provide own tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience working as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
  • Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems and diagnostic software
  • Working knowledge of applicable DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
