Job Description
Join Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital as a Certified Nurse Midwife, providing essential women's health care and managing patient care with a focus on pregnancy and childbirth. You'll work collaboratively within a healthcare system, ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining autonomy in clinical judgments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide primary women's health care focusing on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care
Manage patient care and assess risk status
Perform comprehensive history and physical exam
Provide inpatient obstetrical care and manage minor complications
Prescribe treatments and medications for contraceptive needs
Conduct limited obstetric ultrasound as indicated
Participate in peer review processes and audits
Required Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in related field
Current licensure in the state of California (RN and CNM)
Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM)
Current furnishing number and DEA license
Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school/university of nurse-midwifery
