**Job Title: Night Shift Neuro Stepdown Nurse**
**Location:** Cleveland, OH
**Shift:** Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
**Job Description:**
We are seeking an experienced Night Shift Neuro Stepdown Nurse to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in neuro stepdown nursing. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients recovering from neurological procedures, providing high-quality nursing care, and supporting patients and their families during their recovery journey.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct patient care in the Neuro Stepdown unit, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and neurological status, intervening as necessary.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and educate patients and families about medications and potential side effects.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the charting system.
- Participate in unit initiatives to enhance patient care and unit performance.
- Work in alignment with hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Neuro Stepdown nursing prior to travel assignments.
- Must hold a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
- Previous experience in progressive care units (PCU) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of ECG rhythm recognition; candidates must pass an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
- Ability to work at least every other holiday and adapt to variable patient care needs.
