Job Description
Join Raytheon's Flight Avionics Team as a Principal GPS Systems Engineer, where you will leverage your expertise in GPS technology to develop cutting-edge Guidance Electronics solutions for missile systems. Key Responsibilities
Provide GPS electronics solution for missile products
Develop architecture, requirements, and test plans
Conduct analysis and modeling for GPS sub-assemblies
Collaborate with missile level system engineers
Interface with suppliers of navigation or guidance electronics components
Support multiple programs and travel as required
Collaborate with functional and program leadership
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience with electrical hardware development
Experience in developing RF electrical subsystems
Active and transferable US Government issued security clearance
U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in missile radar and RF seeker subsystems
Background in detailed design and troubleshooting of antennas, analog RF circuit cards, digital circuit cards
Demonstrated understanding of navigation subsystems/components
Recent technical experience with integrated Guidance Electronics systems using GPS and IMU
Knowledge of M-Code
Familiarity with Matlab scripting and tools
Experience with hardware integration and testing
Ability to lead cross-functional teams
Knowledge of DOD Hardware development process
Experience in developing proposals
Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
