Key Responsibilities
Conduct emergency psychiatric assessments and determine appropriate disposition
Facilitate treatment process through advocacy, referral, and discharge planning
Coordinate care and dispositions of psychiatric patients with Emergency Department staff
Document assessments and all case management activities related to patients
Initiate treatment plans for longer stay patients in collaboration with providers
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
Current CT license: LCSW, LMFT, or LPC
A minimum of two years' experience in a psychiatric setting, preferably in an emergency department/crisis role
Computer proficient
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Four years' experience in a psychiatric setting, preferably in an emergency department/crisis role
Ability to assess problems, determine solutions, and make timely decisions
Experience in quality and safety initiatives
