Join Pearland Surgery Center as a PreOp/PACU RN, where you'll provide essential nursing care for pre-op and post-surgical patients in a dynamic outpatient setting. Enjoy a Monday to Friday schedule with one Saturday a month, while making a significant impact on patient recovery and care.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care services for pre-op and post-surgical patients
Monitor heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, and respiration
Manage pain and nausea following anesthesia
Participate in the development of patient plan of care
Serve on committees and participate in quality improvement audits and projects as designated by the Clinical Director
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Texas Nursing License
Current BLS and ACLS required
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting
