Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for control systems including hardware design, software design, and documentation
  • Work with Plant Engineering, MES, IT, Maintenance, and Production teams on networking, PLCs, HMIs, and software
  • Collaborate with Operations teams on continuous improvement projects
  • Estimate time and cost for new projects
  • Review capital equipment proposals to ensure they meet specifications
  • Provide on-site assistance for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Reduce downtime on production equipment
  • Support network backup and device patching management
  • Manage and inventory control system assets
  • Improve system and maintenance performance
  • Review security vulnerabilities and request remediation
  • Compile data from connected devices for organizational use
  • Develop and apply standards for control systems hardware and software
  • Solver complex problems and take new perspectives
  • Work independently with minimal guidance
  • May lead projects or project steps
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues
  • Assume additional responsibilities to support Lincoln Electric’s 2025 Higher Standard Strategy

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years professional experience
  • Experience with automation hardware and software platforms, including PLC and HMI
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, 70E, NFPA 79, and other technical codes
  • Ability to support and troubleshoot industrial equipment
  • Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities
  • Work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
