Job Description

Join Raytheon's mechanical design team as a Senior Principal Engineer focusing on Low Observable technology. This role involves working on cutting-edge projects that support national security, utilizing your expertise in stealth design, analysis, and testing while collaborating in integrated product teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analysis, computational electromagnetics, and testing related to stealth technology
  • Proposal writing and Basis of Estimate development
  • Perform RCS predictions and document test preparation, data analysis, design trades
  • Work within integrated product teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques
  • Present test results and collaborate with a multi-disciplined team and customers
  • Provide project management and leadership for integrated product teams
  • Occasional travel for business, training, and conferences

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Ten years of engineering experience including Low Observable technology or Radar Cross Section or Computational Electromagnetic Codes
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multiple tests of LO targets on ground plane ranges and compact ranges
  • Absorber material treatments/design and testing experience
  • Academic or applied experience utilizing RF testing techniques
  • Understanding of electromagnetic fundamentals
  • Experience with Infrared signature analysis and control
  • Programming expertise in C++, MATLAB, or other technical languages
  • Advanced radar system development or test experience
  • Presentation skills and ability to communicate with peers, executives, and customers
  • Working knowledge of computational electromagnetic codes
  • Advanced Degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math or other Engineering discipline
