OR RN Job Details

• Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (52402)
• Healthcare Setting: Operating Room (OR)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nurse Contract
• Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026)
• Nursing Shifts: 5x8 hour evening shifts (2:00pm – 10:30pm), 40 hours/week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2190–$2350
• Holiday Coverage: Required to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• On Call: Possible 1 weekend/month, including New Year call
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC EMR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience
• Strong circulating experience in diverse surgical cases, including DaVinci robotic procedures
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Active Iowa RN license
• ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA required)
• No first-time travel nurses
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year of application
• Professional references, including one supervisory reference from the past 2 years

OR Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate patient care in the operating room
• Circulate and assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including those utilizing DaVinci robotic technology
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Accurately document patient care and procedures using EPIC EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation and holiday coverage as required
• Foster a positive and supportive healthcare work environment
